Standing in the midst of a forest fire in the Pacific Northwest some years ago this did not appear to be in the cards, even if it was the dream. Amongst the glowing embers being fought back, sparks of another sort were flying that would ultimately lead to the inspiration behind Analog Forest. It was but a season-long reprieve from what has otherwise been a lifetime and counting spent working in the bicycle and outdoor sports industries where Michael Pfaltzgraff is now one of the most sought after and connected designers working behind the scenes.
Many of you already own or are familiar with Mike's design work in the bike industry and beyond. Riders the world over have been flying the Pfaltzgraff colors on bikes, clothing and accessories on some of the largest brands, multiple disgraced Tour winners (and losers!) have worn kits and piloted bikes designed in the early morning hours at Mike's desk. Strong lines, bold colors, timeless sensibilities. We're proud to have Mike as the in-house designer and ultimate visionary behind Analog Forest.
Design has taken Mike across the country and back several times, and despite having grown up just outside Portland these days he calls Pittsburgh, PA home, where he lives with his wife and two children.
